The original sampler was stitched reversibly in regular cross stitch. Popular symbols depict the Lamb of God, Moses receiving the Ten Commandments on a tablet from an angel, wreaths encircling initials, and a curious little owl, perched on a leafy plant beside Adam, under the Tree of Life.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThe original sampler retains its very well-preserved color on both sides.
