She died 6 January 1904 aged 71. She was one of six children. Her father was a farmer. Odile went on to have eight children of her own after her marriage to Charles Henri Fosse in 1855.\u003cbr\u003eOdile attended boarding school at Pensionnat de Liberchies, about 30 kms south of where she was born. She stitched her cross stitch sampler in 1844 and her darning sampler around 1846.
