Schoolgirl Samplers: Often basic stitched samplers that portray the alphabet and numbers (normally up to 10) and decorative motifs, they were simplistic, and stitched at a very young age. Each stitch was executed usually in the most common cross-stitch, although some include a variety of stitches, they taught children patience along with learning their numbers and ABC's.
The Schoolgirl Sewing Club projects feature exclusive reproduction samplers from some of our very favourite designers. Samplers often feature florals and motifs, most include alphabets but not all. Schoolgirl samplers are smaller cross stitch samplers suitable for new and experienced stitchers alike. The designers and linen supplier for our 2027 Schoolgirl Sewing Club will be announced in January.
Club subscription provides you with four beautifully curated boxes sent out every two months, commencing in March. Each Club box contains a reproduction sampler chart, hand dyed linen and threads to stitch the sampler + supplies for an additional needlework project. Two projects in each box!
By enrolling in the Schoolgirl Sewing Club you are committing to purchasing all four club boxes each year. Kits and the exclusive charts that form part of this club will only be available to Club participants. Club numbers are limited so sign-up early to avoid disappointment.

When purchasing from The Crewel Gobelin please review your order carefully as we do not refund or exchange if you have a change of mind about your purchase. To protect the interests of our designers, exchange or refund is not available on books, charts and kits. This also applies to custom finished items, special orders and fabric cut to your specifications, these items cannot be returned unless there is a fault in the product.
Special orders once placed cannot be changed. You will be asked to provide a deposit if you wish us to order any items especially for you. If you change your mind and decide not to go ahead with the order the deposit is non-refundable.
If a product is faulty, please return it to us along with your docket within 14 days of purchase for a full refund or replacement. There are no returns or exchange on discounted and sale goods. If items have been marked down due to an imperfection it will be identified as such.
