Harriot Dixon 1834 - Reproduction by Haystack Stitching

This is a traditional sampler with a strawberry border and laid out in bands of flower motifs with chair and flower motif at the bottom. There is birds and a religious saying in the middle.

Harriot was 10 when she stitched this piece and it is primarily in wool but she used black cotton for the lettering which is worked over 1 thread. The remainder of the sampler is worked over 2 threads using wool fiber.

The original is approximately 43cm (w) x 52cm (h).

The reproduction sampler is 241 stitches (w) x 314 stitches (h). The model was stitched on 36ct Fox and Rabbit Desert Taipan with DMC threads.

Special orders once placed cannot be changed. You will be asked to provide a deposit if you wish us to order any items especially for you. If you change your mind and decide not to go ahead with the order the deposit is non-refundable.

If a product is faulty, please return it to us along with your docket within 14 days of purchase for a full refund or replacement. There are no returns or exchange on discounted and sale goods. If items have been marked down due to an imperfection it will be identified as such.
